5 decks of cards are needed to play.

Each player takes two stacks of 11 cards.

One stack is called “hand” and the other is called “foot”.

To play. pull two cards; discard one.

You must have at least one clean book and one dirty to go out.

The person who is first can choose how to determine the hand and the foot.

You can look at the two bottom cards, or two top cards or the middle cards. The stack with the highest card will determine the hand.

All cards in the hand must be played before you pick up the foot.

Black 3’s can be used in a mell only in the 5th round.

Also in the 5th round you can pick up one stack and choose to keep it or put it down and use the other stack.

Red 3’s cannot be melled and should be discarded as soon as possible.
